Just out while running errands today we saw:

- A yellow F430 (with Massachusetts commercial plates, a number on the side and a camera mount visible between the seats).
- A black 599 GTB
- A Lambo Diablo
- A Lambo Gallardo spyder
- A Rolls Royce Ghost
- and later in the day, a red F430...

Have you ever stopped at that store in the center of Carnation with all the old cars?? Gio cars
Nice, no I hadn't noticed Giordano's . . .

There was still some evidence of fallen trees on 202 but it was mostly cleaned up. But you could seen trees leaning over that had been cut at the guardrail line.

Word of advice for the Salish Lodge: Request tables 1 - 6. They are the best views in private rooms. I can't remember what table we were at but it felt like we were perched right on top of the falls.

Oh, and in case any one is wondering . . . this is Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls:

Behind it is Mt. Si and the Cascades . . the dining tables look out over the alls and beyond to the Snoqualmie Valley below the falls and you can see almost all the way to Puget Sound.

And Kog, you're perfectly situated up in Monroe for a direct and wonderful drive up the rural, and almost pastoral Snoqualmie right to the falls and the Lodge.

Yeah, it's a pretty area and beautiful falls.

My dad and I would go camping back in the mountains behind the falls. We'd head about 25 miles back into the hills up the north fork of the Snoqualmie river. Between the two of us we have been up there for about 50-60 years and now I'm taking my son camping up there, too.

Pix below are where we go camping. The one with the fire pit and smoke is looking downstream. . . about 30+ miles away is Snoqualmie Falls. The second one is on the gravel road heading to the campsite. It's another 3 miles to the camp site and at the point of the photo you'd have been traveling about 20 miles on the gravel mountain road.

I have driven past the falls, probably a hundred times in the past 8 months. Interesting how it creates its own weather in the area when the temps are close to freezing. Fog generator, mist generator, cloud generator not to mention 24/7 electricity generation!

Yes, and North Bend (a town a few miles east of Lupe's picture) was also used for Twin Peaks. Lots of memorabilia in a diner in the center of North Bend (diner was used in the series also)

And they filmed the TV show Northern Exposure over in Roslyn, WA . . . it's about 50 miles east of North Bend / Snoqualmie / Salish Lodge. But it's on the other side of the mountains.

My wife loved that show when it played, and got me to watch the whole series through Netflix last year.

Strange show, but kind of cool.
