Subjectivity is subjective, I suppose.

It has certainly been in the toilet since the E60, E65/66, and E90/91/92/93. Now it is pretty much hit or miss and mostly miss the past few years.

The X5, imo, is the only BMW model that they didn't get the styling horribly wrong with any generation. The E53 was good, the E70 was good, the last two are decent looking. It somehow missed the bangling. This might be the last gen we can say that with, as the grille is already masssive and the next one will be worse with squintier lights alongside.

Yes, to an extent. The F15 and G05 receive a few of exterior gripes from me. Re the F15, when the vehicle is parked in a parking lot and nothing else is around it one will instantly noticed that hood is way too long. I had a photo of my X5 as a example, but apparently I deleted it because I had disliked it so much.

This is last year pre exhaust and carbon spoiler but I think it shows the bulldog proportions of the car. As I get older (50’s) it does feel smaller inside. I mean I just spent 11y with a five series. But every time I drive it and hit a corner I am reminded even though I miss the S62 sound and experience this car is way more capable. The interior is a huge downgrade and the outside is an acquired taste but no beaver grill and still able to wind it out with a manual. I don’t regret the change one bit!!

I will trade you! It looks great! I had a Hockenheim Silver one at M School. No sunroof and of course DCT.
