You need to get sponsored by Canon.

I need to not forget that the camera is loose in the soft bag that I'm dropping onto pavement.

I saw what I guess is downtown from the top of a bridge on the way out of town.

Weather was nice. People were mostly friendly.

edit...

and apparently, they like their cowboys to appear to be gay

The older Olympii really take that well. I dropped both the D-510 and D-550 onto asphalt more times than I care to remember without incident. If you're doing a lot of these trips, you might want to consider something el cheapo and bulletproof to take and sit on, get rained on, drop, etc.

The two in the car aren't bad, but there's just something off about the corner worker.

I-10/610 interchange?

Not the nicer side of Houston, but ok.

When you take these long trips, you should at least try to spend one day in the city that you are visiting.

P&Ss better be damn near impervious. SLRs and their lenses (still not sure which I broke) can be different beasts

Gack. Nothing like a busted SLR to make you buy a padded case.

Congrats on placing.

They don't help if you don't use them.

I'm 98% sure that it's the lens now.
