911s are poor value. I laugh at the Porsche position that they do that on purpose so each car be can customized. LOL.

I’d like for them to run the car at their track for a time. Just to see how strong those measly 379 horses are. I’m mocking Porsche’s sandbagging of the engine output.

No comments about the 7 speed? I think they improved the 7speed quite a bit from the 991s —but no one really comes out and says so.

It’s an interesting concluding statement that Jack makes that this is the most cost effective way to get the special parts.

Their productions are well done. I like Mark’s sarcasm.

I feel like Apple is taking a few pages from Porsche’s playbook. The options and embargoes on their BTO computer specs are especially cynical and money-grabbing these days.

This seems to have been a good buy. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...s-cabriolet-2/. Further proof that the preowned market is continuing to soften?

Speaking of market softening, I have noticed that my local dealer has a Targa 4S that they were initially asking $220k for and have repeatedly reduced it and as of this morning it is down to $203k.

Yeah I always enjoy their reviews as well. I like how they give a more nuanced and balanced take than most revieiwers who just regurgitate marketing hype.

Completely unrelated to the 911, but the new Panamera has received several new colors. Possibly some insight as to what is to come for the 992.2 since Shark Blue, Racing Yellow, and Ruby Star are to be discontinued in early 2024. I suspect it is highly doubtful that the 992.2 will see all of these.

Edit: I definitely think Lugano Blue will be replacing Shark Blue. See screenshot 2.

Also… it is pretty much guaranteed that the 992.2 is going to receive the instrument cluster from the Taycan/Cayenne/Panamera. Auf Wiedersehen to the analog tachometer. A start/stop button is probably also going to happen. The gear level for PDK equipped 992.2s is up in the air. Not that it matters because no one here would order a car with the PDK.

Would love to see Oak offered as a non PTS color. Agree that Lugano is likely, though I can see Montego being offered on the 911 instead.

Also why did they give the Panamera a mouth? It’s so weird.

Montego is also offered on the facelifted Cayenne. It is somewhat feminine in person. Personally, I cannot see it being offered on a sedan, an SUV, and a sports car.

Man I’d love oak green. Would have definitely spec’d that on the Boxster had it been available.

Lugano looks good, though, at least in renders.
