Yeah, I derp-brained on Excursion, everyone who pointed that out is obviously correct.

I have friends with various EcoBoost F-150s (2.7s and 3.5s new and old) that have put well over 100k towing with no major problems. I personally find Ford's trucks to be inferior to some of the other offerings but they sell like crazy .

I saw an Excursion the other day. Didn't look as massive as I remember -- which shows you just how much bigger vehicles in the truck-based SUV market have become...

I am continually blown away but how large the 1/2 ton truck class is nowadays. Their size is made worse by how poorly a lot of their drivers seem to be about properly parking or even maneuvering these things.

That one is a 460 gas truck, not a diesel. Still could probably do well on BaT, but it's not the same as the others.

I like that the steering wheel found in this era Ford trucks is shaped like a frown so you're always reminded of your mood when you are driving it.

Did they come with a 180 degrees of steering play from the factory, or did you have to drive them a few thousand miles to get that?

Not sure about how it is with the larger motor, but the company I worked for in the 90's had one of these as a company (shop) vehicle. 1st gear was a granny gear

That's only the 2WD ones. The 4WD ones are better, they have 90 degrees of play.
