My good friends had one they kept for YEARS. Replaced later with whatever E wagon with AWD came afterward (I don't know Merc models), but they never loved it as much.

Funny story. I learned today that the father of a woman I work with had always had a Mopar project going. A few years ago, he bought three 928s to make one good one. Got it running well, then decided to "make it better" and it's since been sitting for a while.

Extremely boring color but might be a nice 987.2S if the price stays within reason:

Silver is much better than black on a boxster.

Silver with a splash of color is one thing. Silver over black suggests some poor dealer schlub in late 2008 had an unordered 1/09 allocation to fill (uh, wonder why) and had to spec the most boring/cheapest spec possible in order to avoid Lot Kryptonite. Thus, you get Nav and cooled seats but no Bose or power seats and the worlds most boring 987S wheels.

Nothing wrong with that—stripper Boxster S is kind of cool. It’s just a shame the color combo is Corolla bland.
