Buy your H1 while you still can

General Motors announced yesterday that the Hummer H1 will be discontinued sometime next month. About 12,000 have been sold to the public since the civilian version first went on sale in 1992.

Honestly though, buying an H1 is no different than buying a Ferrari if all you do is drive it on the street. Both cars are very good at something, and you're not exploiting it.

The H2 is the worst, because it's not good at anything.

I do agree with you. Out of all the line up the H1 was the truest to the company's intended original view of "rugged all terrain go anywhere".

It's good at taking up 6 parking spaces, or 1.5 lanes of traffic.

I think there will be a small run on them out here. You see many H1s used for desert "Jeep" tours these days...

It's good in the same way a Coach purse is good.
