I changed over the day before our first (only?) snowstorm, around thanksgiving.

It's good, my PSSs would be getting shredded in the cold and I like the SottoZeros even in the dry

I'm mounting up the new winter tires to the wheels today and taking them down the street to get balanced. They're going on the Mazdaspeed tonight. I haven't checked the forecast in a few days but we were supposed to get a couple inches over the weekend.

I continue to be amazed at just how good the Conti DW is in cold (25F heading to work the last couple days).

I found stress cracks on the front pair of MPSS's off the 535i. My guess is that they are from use in cold temperatures. And similarly I like the Alpins or other performance winter tires in any case.

It's a long story but I managed to get 50% off my next set of michelins (even the rears). I had a choice and went with the all-season pilots for the first time in more than a decade. I don't drive the 535i super hard. I guess it'll stay a bit floaty rather than responsive but float is what that car does anyway. I don't like the idea that i need to worry about temperatures. Also the PS4's were more $$$ in those 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 sizes.
