Um... Anyone have a Carfax account?

I have a line on a Miata, we have a deal "in agreement" that we'll be finalizing Wednesday. I had a chance to drive the car quite a bit and all seems fine.

But. . . .

I'd still like to run a Carfax check on it. If anyone has an open account would you mind running this VIN:

JM1NC25F870130592

If not, no biggie, I'll run it tomorrow night.

Also, sorry if this isn't the right forum for this post.

Just ran it last night.

The Carfax report came back clean. Zero issues.

I'm heading out in a few hours to get the car this afternoon.

On a related note about the Carfax. I can under stand Carfax pulling title data from state DMV or DOL records for the big stuff such as total, flooded, or lemon cars. But where does it get its data for the other things such as semi-major collisions or repairs. Is there a database that all body or repair shops have to report major work to that Carfax accesses? Otherwise, other than a title check the Carfax report is only as good as any voluntary reporting system.

Still, I think it was worth it for the title data.

This

I have always asked a seller if it is OK for my independent mechanic to check the car over. (have never actually had a car inspected)

I have just looked at the seller's reaction to this question, if he get weird, I move on. If he says "no problem" he has nothing to hide
