Spring rates/option packages...

So we all know that BMW specifies different springs for different package combinations... Does anyone have any idea how much of a change in length/rate there is?

Isn't there a letter in the recent Roundel, or maybe it was Bimmer, where a guy put coupe springs in his sedan and was complaining about the harsh ride?

Length of springs are consistent...There are only like three settings, sports package (shorter), none-sport, and Xi (long).

Spring rates change depending on chasis, model, and options. They do not publish rates but you figure they have to have changed, otherwise it wouldn't need new PN.

Would they have changed the PN if the rates didn't change but they got a new supplier?

Maybe, but BMW only gets their springs through Eibach.
