It’s been a couple years now since I last had a loaner from Tesla.
They moved to providing Uber credit instead, but I had the car in for regular service (coming up on 4 years, so a couple of things like the cabin air filter needed to be done). But Tesla now only provides Uber credit if a service will take more than 4& hours!

That is a really cool loaner, I can't believe it's a manual ... the reason I have the Cayman is because the dealer gave me one as a Loaner and I really enjoyed it.

No Monroney sticker and VIN Analytics wanted $13 to decode the VIN. I was not about to pay that for a car that is not mine or potentially going to be mine. I put about 55 to 60 miles on it today. It is not a bad car when in sport mode with sport exhaust activated as it makes a significant difference. Ironically the exhaust sounded a ton better in sport mode than sport plus. No clue what that is about?
Hopping back into my 13 year old 911 definitely made it feel like a dinosaur. This morning I was like this car sucks (Boxster S) in comparison to my 997.2 and then I hopped back in the my car just an hour or so ago and I thought, damn that new four-cylinder Boxster is pretty sweet! One thing is certain… Porsche dealer service is expensive! Everything I had performed today was a grand with the PCA discount of 10% applied. The updated NAV is a night and day difference. It literally improved it by 10 or 11 years. Before and after pics attached below. Edit: Added one last pic of the 718. |

I think our Mudgeons getting 6-cylinder 718s are going to be very happy…

In AMG models, you don’t get backfires unless you’re in Sport Plus. Who knows why? I don’t. Cool loaner.

Thanks for the info. Now I know… This is basically the build of the loaner car that I had yesterday: http://www.porsche-code.com/PPARPR78 Last edited by SCA; 06-30-2022 at 07:08 AM. |
