I also didn't think my C5Z had much steering feel. It was one of the traits that made it challenging to drive fast and also not very rewarding in the daily grind.

My 987.2 has almost 60k on it and no peeling plastic anywhere.

My ZHP had a lot of the soft-touch stuff peel off (console mostly). I just replaced it. None of it was very expensive.
