I ended up taking my BBS REs to Wheel Collision out in PA.

All four wheels had varying degrees of rash and scratches, and it turns out 3 of 4 were slightly to moderately out of round from NYC punishment back in my E46 commuting era.

They are a very pricey shop. But MAN did they do an EXCELLENT job. The wheels are like new. Just astonishing.

Price list

If you are somewhere reasonably close by (for me, NYC counts) you can save on total costs by dropping off / picking up rather than shipping. Plus, it means you don't have to worry about the delivery service damaging them once they've been fixed.

As do hers:

(What's going on behind her, too?)

Note that nobody like that works there. They're just rented for the SEMA booths.

On a more serious note, also look at their catalog. They will often cap the price of a repair at the "exchange" price for that wheel type, even if the actual work is higher.

There's a cute little female bulldog that's there sometimes who will sniff your ankles for no charge, though.

Yeah, price list is accurate. When all was said and done, to inspect/fix/refinish all four BBSs, dispose of the old S03s that were on there, and mount and balance the PA2s, it ended up being north of $900 for me. That doesn't include the cost of the PA2s.

It's a lot of money. But it's a lot cheaper than a new set of BBSs. And the work really is impressive.
