I ended up taking my BBS REs to Wheel Collision out in PA.
All four wheels had varying degrees of rash and scratches, and it turns out 3 of 4 were slightly to moderately out of round from NYC punishment back in my E46 commuting era. They are a very pricey shop. But MAN did they do an EXCELLENT job. The wheels are like new. Just astonishing.

When all was said and done, to inspect/fix/refinish all four BBSs, dispose of the old S03s that were on there, and mount and balance the PA2s, it ended up being north of $900 for me. That doesn't include the cost of the PA2s. It's a lot of money. But it's a lot cheaper than a new set of BBSs. And the work really is impressive.
