I've noticed this with mine. We can drive through the same local neighborhood and wave to the same people we see regularly in the 1er and get smiles and waves back from just about everyone. In the 911 it is 75% scows, 25% smiles and waves. My wife and I now play a game where we wave at everyone and take bets on whether we are going to get a wave back.

That's interesting. It's weird, I generally get a ton of positive responses to the Boxster. Always have. I don't think it's that people know it's a "cheap" Porsche (I've had acquaintances give me shit about owning it, even though it's a 14 year old car that costs less than the Accord they just bought). Maybe it's the color? Just the other day some random person at Cava told me she loved the car.

I watched some real hate yesterday from my motorcycle... An all black, black tint, murdered out JGC SRT was adamant at not letting a fancy shmancy not sure if 991.2 or 992 GTS in. So much so that he went over a middle divider curb... Ok, fine, but no the next five miles he did everything possible to taunt the 911, block and generally have an accident. The 911 was initially at fault, trying to cut in ahead of his turn, but the reaction was out of all proportion... I kept increasing stopping distance, falling back and getting mentally ready for being a witness to whatever mayhem could have resulted.

One thing that's really funny is how it makes the E30 M3 look big parked side by side.
