Espresso/cognac full leather is probably my favorite interior choice, but it’s tricky to coordinate with an exterior color. It does go quite nicely with aventurine…but that’s overall a pretty conservative spec.

Its my favorite as well. Its is kind of close to black / beige, I've seen it with Carmine and it looked great. It definitely brought out the wine/deeper tones in the Carmine color. It would probably work with guards, but definitely not shark. It works great with the darker blues too. When I was shopping mine, the local dealership had a midnight blue turbo w. espresso cognac that was really beautiful.

Just remember - there is a big difference in material quality between natural leather and full leather. Natural leather (Espresso and Cognac) is way nicer to touch.

Interesting. I would also venture to say that Aventurine works with the widest range of interior colors and top colors (for the Boxster). It really is quite mutable.

I would also venture to say that when planning the car as a keeper, full leather would definitely be worth the $$. Not much more cost that a decent leather reclining chair.

I saw an aventurine 911 the other day and…it mostly just looked grey. Would maybe pop in direct sunlight but it was too subdued for my taste.

Sigh maybe I’ll see if I can find an espresso natural leather car to see.

I get that. I have never seen aventurine in person, but it looks different in every photo I’ve seen. And it does often veer into a dull greyish tone. But it seems like a natural tone in the same way espresso does. It seems like the combo would age very well. I’d probably go brown top, too…

The renegade choice would be the Bordeaux/black and red top with aventurine…there is something so tawdry, though about Bordeaux…

Based on what I'm reading, the standard full leather package quality is excellent. That was the case on both my 986 and 987, which makes me not really concerned that it'll be an issue. And, well, I like black.

Here’s the 911.

Weirdly my local dealer has 3 GTS Boxsters in their used lot, 2 of which are Carmine/black (the other is chalk/chalk). Will have to go take a look.

Black is always a fine choice. I think I am just tired of it, having had three black leather cars. I am also moving away from black for furniture as well. Just want to lighten things up generally, without dealing with high maintenance light colors.

Nice 992!

A black interior is always the safe option. Beige/Tan can be a PITA to keep clean in a roadster/convertible and I am speaking from nearly eight years of experience as my Z3 interior is beige.
