Opinions on the Saab 9-2X
I keep seeing commercials for it and can't help but think that it would be a great, fun car to have as a commuter car here in New England. Unfortunately it is pretty expensive new, but a used one a few years from now doesn't seem like a bad deal. It should be pretty reliable since it really is a subaru, but it is more refined and it looks better.
I keep thinking that in 4-5 years (hopefully when I will be able to have a fun sportscar) I may get an even swap for my 330i, but wonder if it is a good trade-off. I would have AWD and I'd guess it would be cheaper to maintain as an older car vs a 330i. Just rambling (everyone seems to be doing that 'round here lately :P ). |

Is that the commercial where they claim AWD improves cornering ability?

Frankly, I think the Saabaru is stupid. Get the real thing or don't get it.

It's selling like poop. Saab hates it. They ARE, however, going to market this shit out of it.

Interesting responses. From the C&D review it just seemed like they were charging too high a premium for a slightly more refined and better-looking WRX. I figured the used car market would take care of that.
I haven't seen one in person. |

I happen to like the idea and the car. The exterior style is a little derivative, but it's still unmistakably Saab and I think it's quite nice. I would only get the turbo version, which does come at a rather high premium over the WRX. Still, I think it's a nice car, and depreciation should help with the premium bit.
