I have to say.... GM does make a good truck.
My Yukon has just turned over 160,000 miles.
Original brake pads. All four corners. Work great. I just installed the second set of plugs. Nothing fancy. OE AC Delco single electrode types. New plug wires too (second set as well) Bilstein shocks installed at about 80k - seem to be doing fine. Now - I just replaced the 02 sensors (pre-cat ones) as I figured my tune up was not complete with the original ones there. I have to say... What an absolutely wonderful pain in the ass that was. Difficult access for both the sensor itself as well as the connector. Remind me not to do that again. I guess, as I don't plan on keeping the truck to 320,000 miles - not a problem. But if there is one thing Detroit knows how to build - It's a full size truck/SUV. We were going to sell the truck. But after last months snow.... I think I'll hang on to it for a while longer (hence the tune-up).

I've had my '94 beater for a while now and she just keeps chugging along. Except for that one time she didn't start, and I ended up pulling the starter to test it out. Stupid me, I should've checked the battery connections first for looseness as it ended up being the problem. Mine's got 164,000 miles, starts right up at the first turn of the key even on the coldest of mornings, and pulls my boat/drives through snow with nary a problem.
