Plus used M3s are...not cheap, exactly, but notably less than a new M2 Comp.
You've read the reviews of the M2 vs M3 right? Many (most? all?) preferred the M2.

If your kids can fit in a 911 they can certainly fit in an M2.

👍.

Maybe people are dumping the original n55 m2 to get the comp version if you want used?

Yeah, but the N55 is an awful motor combined with a stick.

The M2 is going to feel like quite a small car. I'm still trying to understand who drives what and which car makes sense next to the Model 3.

Big things usually happen when JST goes radio silent for longer periods of time in his threads...

I'm guessing a 991 targa and M3 comp are in his driveway by Friday.

You've made that comment a few times. I just don't see it. I find the engine / transmission combo in my 135 to be the most satisfying of all the cars i've ever owned (including the e36m3 and e39 m5).

Ha ha I’ve been traveling. Now on my way to a conference in Orlando. Haven’t had time to do anything, including taking the VW back in to get the things that they broke when fixing it fixed

It’s fine if you’re driving open roads. The slight, but always present turbo lag drives me crazy in town. And the absence of top end is really annoying when you get on it.

I’d rather have more lag and be able to drive around it. Also, BMW’s standard gearing is really problematic. You fall off the bottom of second far too much.

The ZCP is a must have. In additon, there were updates for 2017 and 2018 which were nice.

I love my car.
