At this point, with the Genesis and Accord canceled, the only MT sedan I can think of until the M3 comes back is the WRX--and maybe a Civic Si? |

And what's with this switchable RWD/AWD coming up on the new M5? Didn't I read that somewhere? |

I just find it amazing that even the Miata is strongly rumored to go Hybrid. That will add weight and complexity which is obviously antithetical to the car's mission.

I read the “pure” model with the stick will be rwd only and only get the lower hp engine. Which I’m sure just like all the S55 versions is just a tune from the factory.

At some point, I read that the base G80 would be not terribly different than my ZCP F80 (RWD+MT) with not much more power. I doubt that. I imagine that if the ZCP F80 had 444hp, the base G80 will probably have 475hp or so. It has to get a 30-40hp bump at least. I can see the higher powered variants with easily over 500hp.

Unless the new one is a lot heavier than the old one, 50 or so more hp isn't really what the car needs. I mean more power is always more better, but a lot of power is something the F80 is already pretty good on. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...mw-x3-m-drive/ |
