you are not helping, I already got cold feet after seeing that. $10k more for a lot newer better looking car. Assume the 996 is at the bottom of the deprivation curve, wonder about the 997. I see he lowered the price a few times.

the 996 is at the dealer getting oil change and detail, plan to go check it out and drive it when he gets it back.

If you are seriously considering it, I'd have them do a PPI while they have it.

And where are the pics!

I don't know, if they figure they'll get to fix it maybe they'll really pick it apart.

Still grappling over whether a 997.2 s is a better option for me. My wife is on board for the 996, was surprised I was planning on selling my m3 if I did.

Can't go wrong with either, but the 996tt is the only 996 that will retain any value moving forward.

I like the 997.2s also and it's obviously an upgrade but still on the 996 platform. They will still depreciate a fair bit.

Thanks was thinking the same thing.

997.2 doubt I would buy in the near future since it would take effort to track one down and there is no logical reason to spend $50k+ when I work from home. 996 fell in my lap and hopefully I could own with minimal depreciation.

If I had this car local, I'd just buy it because I could sell it in a year for a profit.

I really like my 996, but I should have gotten the 996tt for peace of mind.

I'm stuck (and loving it). Almost sold but it fell through and now I'm just enjoying the car. Best car for feedback I've ever owned. Feels like an e36 m3 with lungs and a top end.

Turbo is a no brainier because while it may under steer, there's power in abundance.

Yeah, buy it. If you decide to sell it in 6 mos for a 997 you won't lose much beyond taxes--if that.
