Find one with a few miles on it, a demo or a used one? Per your thread title you're looking for a 2016 anyway .

Believe I already suggested that.

So I found a used one and drove it while my car was in for service.

Bottom line, it's a noticeable improvement in terms of power delivery over the Mark VI. The Mark VI has a fair amount of lag and is a little soft at low RPM; this one still has a noticeable rush when boost builds but it's got more low end (and a lot more power overall).

Heel and toeing isn't as bad as I was worried it would be, but still isn't as easy as in the Mark VI. I don't know why they changed the pedals so much, but it's annoying.

Also annoying? No sunroofs. I hadn't focused on that before. And no spare. (looks up at ceiling) KHAAAAAN!

The interior is nicer, though, and definitely has higher quality materials.

Food for thought. Now I need to see if I can get a drive in a Focus RS.

Yeah, but does it put out any low-end torque?

Not only on the low-end, but up top as well. The interior is also very roomy with high quality materials. It's an all around win.

Honestly, you probably don't. The RS' ride quality is pretty brutal, and the interior is absolutely AWFUL. My sister wouldn't let me drive hers with 200 miles on it, but even 15 minutes in the passenger seat was enough to confirm that I won't be buying one.
