Dunno if true, but the latest rumors (the latest of which hitting 12/29) are...

2023 or 2024
Camaro SS will get LT2 engine
ZL1 1LE will get the LT5
Regular ZL1 will keep the LT4, but get a HP bump to 670 (new torque figure unknown)
ZL1 1LE (and possibly other trims) will get a minor facelift
Some trims may see some kind of interior changes

Seventh gen Camaro will be an Ultium platform EV
Unknown if 4 door or 2 door
First year is unknown, but no gap year(s) between sixth and seventh gen

Best guesses for transition are 2025 or 2026 for last ICE, but no one really knows.

The LT1 was/is used in the

• normally aspirated C7 Corvettes
• sixth gen Camaros

It's rated at 455/455 (460/460 in the C7 with performance exhaust)

The LT4 is and upgraded and supercharged version of the LT1 (hp/tq)

• C7 Z06 (650/650)
• sixth gen Camaro ZL1 (650/650)
• final years of the CTS-V (640/630)
• CT5-V Blackwing (668/659)

The LT2 is currently in the C8 and rated at 490/465.

The LT5 is a supercharged version of the Gen V engine that was in the C7 ZR1 rated at 755/715 and may be used in the last of the sixth gen Camaro ZL1s?

The LT6 is a supercharged version and will be the first Gen VI engine that will be in the C8 Z06 rated at 670/460.

A lot of people had thought the LT engines first used in front engined cars would not be usable in mid-engine applications and the engines introduced in mid-engined cars would not be usable in front engined cars. A lot of other people laughed at those notions.

So far, there is only one source saying the LT2 is coming to the Camaro, but there's been tons of speculation. We'll just have to wait and see.

Oops, I mistyped and will correct.

The LT1, 2, 4, and 5 engines are Gen V. The LSx engines were Gen III and Gen IV.

Edit: The LT6 going into the C8 Z06 will be the first Gen VI engine.

The engine that is standard in the LT1 and SS trim Camaros is already amazing. So these last year engines are amazing.
