No one will want this, but interesting provenance

1998 Cadillac Eldorado with 146k, 30k on current engine. Exterior and interior look quite spic and span. Under the hood looks kinda dirty in comparison, which is weird, but not a biggie.

Not a fan of the colors used in the car.

What makes it interesting is that the seller is Mike Ness of Social Distortion.

I actually thought the 4 door STS version was pretty cool back then but what did I know.

I think the reviews of it at the time were not horrible and there was something about it for its time. Maybe it was just hope that it was a sign that Cadillac would not suck and be able to compete with the Euro brands and the new Japanese luxury brands?

Yeah I think it looked distinctly American and Cadillac but in a more modern up to date way. I kinda still like them when I see one on the road

My Uncle left his 1995(?) Eldorado to my Dad when he passed away in 1997.
It became the generic 'extra' car in the family for a while. As such, when I visited - it was the car I was given to get around in. All in all - It was a pretty nice ride. Northstar V8 and all the bells and whistles and... Just comfortable for cruising in. I drove it down HWY 1 a few times (Big Sur) and while it was not my first choice for driving down that way - all in all, a very good 'cruise-mobile' while getting near 30mpg if I recall correctly.

It started to have electrical glitches and my Dad grew frustrated with it (in that way) - so it was sold off after a couple of years.

I liked it too. For some reason, it was my "if I win the lottery, I'll by this for my dad" car.

I thought it had cool lines, had a nice V8 and looked classy and contemporary.
