The main variable is the PCCB option which swings grand total significantly. But this is probably what it looks like.
Um, PCCB is a fuckton cheaper than what that config is spending on paint. $22,860 for Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus at $11,430 each? Wow.

That's a nice build, but you might want to do a nicer interior other than the standard black. The natural leathers are so much softer/richer feeling...

+1

PTS is crazy ass expensive and here I thought $2500 for Rivian Blue on a R1T was stupid expensive.

Awesome news Lemming, very happy for you !!

Quick question, doesn’t the light weight glass and glass sunroof contradict each other, one is taking away weight while the other is adding it.

I can’t believe $22k for paint to sample plus … WOW !!

Main caveat: this is not the final build, it’s how i think the config is based on brief discussion.

The build doesn’t get finalized until an allocation spot opens and then it’s officially submitted so I have time.

@Alan: I think PTS is only $11k, not $22k.

you configuration lists $11,430 for PTS, and an additional $11,430 for PTS Plus

My bad.

(Sorry)

This is why I asked them to configure for me.

Yes. Paint to Sample is one charge of $11430 on your config. There is a second $11430 charge on top of that for $11430 more.

and like I said earlier this morning, too.

I seriously cannot get my head around what justifies that kind of money for paint on a new car. It's comparable to what a high quality repaint on a restoration would run where you're also changing the color to whatever color you want without much impact to cost because almost all the money is going to labor that a new car does not require.

It's your money, your car, your choice.

Porsche's new Paint to Sample program has two levels. The first gives you access to an extended library of historic Porsche colors. That's the first 11K charge. That's described as "Individual choice of color from an extensive range of solid and metallic colors, including a number of historic Porsche colors."

The second level, Paint to Sample Plus, is what we think of as "Paint to Sample" -- you bring in a color swatch and they match it (assuming they can). That's the second 11K charge in that config. In Porsche's press materials, they emphasize that this second level is subject both to technical feasibility and to lengthy production delays. This is described as "Individual color development and individual paintwork for any technically feasible solid or metallic color based on a submitted color sample."

I suspect the first level of PTS is all you need, lemming; there is probably a color in there that will satisfy. I think that the second level is likely not worth it both in terms of how much it will cost and in terms of how long it will delay your build.

This appears to be a visualizer for all of the colors on Rennbow, but I don't know if these are the "160 colors" available on the first level of PTS:
