Center lock wheels suck, but those do look nice.

Did I see correctly that you have to get an S in order to get a manual? No more stick in the base model?

I was at the dealer this morning dropping off one of my cars for service and there was not one 992 on the lot that I could see and nothing in the showroom.

I did get to sit in a Taycan though (BTW got a Macan S loaner).

That speaks to the lack of supply for 911s right now and why the pre-owned market is so inflated. I checked my local dealer and they have 1 base 992 on the lot and no pre-owned 911s at all. Its kind of wild.

Not sure what their thought process is, getting more money out of enthusiast or trying to kill demand? Non-s is the same bloody engine detuned right so basically not any engineering effort to add.

It's all sort of academic now that any 911 is easily well over 100k. Regarding the manual, maybe they'll re-introduce it in the base model when they introduce a "T" version of the 992.

Porsche has always done this, when they introduced the 991 with the manual I remember wanting a base model being I was coming out of a base 997.1 and the allocations were so minimal compared to an S I pretty much had no choice but to go with the S model.

They did it again with the 992, at first it was only available as an S, then they finally release the base and they made it with some options unavailable such a PASM or Manual so that you would need to spend the extra $$ for the S to get these features. It is very frustrating.

I would think they would eventually come out with a manual for the base but now that production seems to be limited who knows how long it would be for this to happen
