I did it right in the middle of summer (mid-July) and I was fine on that 90F weekend. Those little bikes put out very little heat (unlike ktms or ducatis with big engines). Just wear thin long sleeves, bring plenty of water... If need be, you can wet your top but wasn't necessary in my case (though I have done summer rides where my mesh jacket needed wetting).
