Great color, good location, low miles, excellent seller. Adds up. That’s a lot more than a silver 997 with say 75k miles would fetch.

But anyway, yes, the market is fucking nuts, I can’t imagine spending 80 grand on that car.

I was offered a 992S cabriolet allocation a couple of days ago, I am still number 11 or 12 on their coupe waiting list and that hasn’t budged so i have been considering it since it looks like it will be forever to get a Coupe ( I figure a year just for an allocation which means a 2023 model delivered in spring 2023 if I am lucky) … I have to give the salesman an answer by tomorrow.

If I go with the Cab it will be a March build with July delivery … so strange how they can offer this so many months ahead of time. I really wanted a Coupe but am considering it.

The top on the cabs are so good, it feels like a coupe when it's up + the wind deflector can give you a lot of flexibility with how much air you get in the cabin. I was messing with the configurator the other day, thinking about selling mine and upgrading a year from now. It would be better for me if you just bought my build then sold it to me used at the next market crash 😎😜

Hmm… that is a tough call Alan. Clearly the Cab will get your foot in the 992 door, but at the same time it is not a coupe which always tends to be more desirable as well as resales for approximately 10% more than a Cab does years later.

I like your Cab build Josh. The only items I personally would drop would be the Burmester and the faux aluminum gas cap

Me, too. Although I am tempted by the red roof with Aventurine.

Kinda picks up on subtext in Josh's and SCA's posts, but...

Why don't you get the vert, stay on the list for the coupe, then trade in the vert on the coupe?

Used pricing may not be as insane as today, but the worst hit probably won't be too bad. Maybe the worst that happens is you love the vert so much that you wind up not wanting the coupe?
