Great choice, of course, because it was on my short list, too!

As a data point, I have a good friend with a white manual Jetta, and he has put more than 100k miles on it without drama. He loves it.

Good choice. With the used market the way it is, buying new seems like the only way to go. Having a warranty is an added bonus just in case

Weirdly, the mix on Jettas is pretty heavy on manuals. This car hadn't been on the lot long, and they seemed to be turning them pretty quickly, but even the inbound ones at my local dealer were 50 percent manuals.

That’s super cool. I bet the clutch is light and makes it easy to drive.

I assuming it is since my GTI is the easiest clutch I have ever owned.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My almost 17 year is finally getting his drivers permit. I think might of ask this before but what is everyone doing about the costs associated with your new driver? As in you just pay for a car, gas and insurance or they have to pitch in some way? My wife would just pay for all but I want him to pitch in.
TIA
I'm pretty much paying for it all for my two kids, as long as they are enrolled in school.
Which is no longer a given for my son, but that's a whole other story
