I'll go for replica...

I've seen a couple at auctions. Really stunning vehicle...

Yeah.

I’m guessing it’s this specific car: https://www.carlylemotors.com/vehicl...079a1d2a48fbee

Cool though

Likely -- and well-done replicas are very cool.

I saw a replica Ferrari a few years ago that was not done well. From a distance, it looked great. It was an early 60s coupe replica (not sure which model). But once you got close, all sorts of details were off. No prancing horse logo. You could see other colors beneath the vents. I think it was build on an older Corvette... For some reason, I didn't take any pics...

I guess I’m glad it’s not one that involved cutting up a real Ferrari. But man, I do not understand replicas.

I'm not too excited by cars these days, but this RS6 had some sort of presence. Novelty perhaps? Flared arches and fat tires? Wagon-ness? Not sure, but I snapped a pic.

I have started to really like the idea of a 356 speedster replica by Beck or Intermeccanica w/ a water cooled subie engine to have as a toy. It's super pretty, probably a lot of fun to drive, reliable and different. The turn key models have a lot of nice features to choose from. I doubt I'd ever go through with it, but it seems like a different option for a fun lakeside runabout.

Of course, a used Miata would probably be more fun, more reliable and 5x cheaper.

Fun, reliable and cheap is one of those "pick any 2" things. I decided I wanted something "more fun and less practical" than my E46 wagon, which is how I ended up with an Atom. Which is definitely off the deep end of both the "more fun" and "less practical" scales.

The RS6 is really cool. I have yet to see one IRL.
