This is something everyone should do when selling a car. I also make sure I remove any info from rental cars (home or work searches in Nav systems) and delete Bluetooth connections...

What a PITA. And, yes, Georgia dealers gouge with fee as well.
Did you leave the X5 with the dealer? But, glad you have the car and I'm looking forward to your impressions! |

Yes. I left the x5 there. It should only be a couple days to finish that part and I didn't want to have to drive back to Sterling (no offense, it's just that 95 and 495 suck). I kept insurance on it until everything is 100%.

Is Sterling, VA near any of you DC peeps>
I hate when companies (or anyone) try to make their problem your problem. The fact that he didn’t communicate with his own employee should be embarrassing not something to give you as an excuse.
I’m sort of convinced that all dealers suck given the opportunity. The more complicated the transaction the more opportunities you have to discover how they suck. Even on transactions that were relatively smooth, there were always some last minute shenanigans with all my vehicles. I remember on my e46 (euro delivery!) the salesperson tried to add a doc fee after the car had been shipped back (and was already mine). Not surprised they left the previous owners info - franky I’d be surprised if they’d actually removed it. Worked out for you though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats, sounds like an ordeal. I've had many car purchases where I found the previous owner's info to throw out. That's how little folks care, both the previous owner to returns a lease with docs in the car and the dealer people who leave it. I've also done some remote trade-ins, not many but a few, and never had it so painful.
Interestingly, I've bought a lot of good cars (and motorcycles!) from PA: - my first porsche, the 996 aerokit, privately - the 997.2, dealer - the e46 m3, privately - the macan turbo, dealer - kawasaki w650 - bmw f650gs - ducati multistrada 1100S - ducati multistrada 1200S - ktm super adventure 1290 All from PA!!! - |
