I am curious to see it without the front plate.

The competition version is heavier and has worse weight distribution?

It has AWD, so the extra weight is probably partly the front drivetrain.

Ah, I didn't realize it was AWD only.

And no manual would make sense if you really are racing them, but who is actually doing that?

No one. "Competition" should always be in quotes. And it's not even a DSG transmission--it's a ZF 8 speed auto.
