Love the interior but yawn on the rims and they drilled the front plate!!!

See this is why I never found a 981. To picky.

You should drive a 981 to see if you like it.

Rims are really easy to change (though not necessarily cheap); these aren't bad, IMHO, but YMMV.

Front plate is just something I've never understood being that exercised about. I tried one of those tow hook mounts on my E90 M3 and it looked like trash, constantly, and it still managed to mess up the paint on the bumper.

I haven't mounted the plate on the Tesla b/c I'm lazy and amazingly haven't had any trouble with it, but mostly I just wouldn't let it bother me.

At this point, I'm mostly bothered by how incredibly garbage the BMW front plate *mounts* look.

I'm with you on this plus no front plate just gives a cop a reason to pull you over ... I have one on the Cayman but I do not have one on the 991. At this point having the car for over 8 years I just can't get myself to drill the bumper and yes I have been pulled over and questioned about it at least 2-3 times that I can remember.

Looks great in pics. I like the wheels, actually. 19s? I think that's a lot more practical than 20s.

I am not a big fan of silver but love the cocoa interior leather. Buy it.

Yes, they've basically just given up at this point.

I don't get it. All you have to do is, uh, make a bracket. It's not hard. Why does the bracket need to be a gigantic painted ugly structure?

I do not care for those wheels but they are not objectionable, and that can always be fixed. The front bumper holes are annoying but my town is very picky about that and I got pulled over right away on the M3.

If I’m honest I’d prefer a more fun color, but this car still looks great and I love the interior. It also appears to be in mint condition with very low miles. Taken care of, this car could be worth a decent amount down the road.

I don’t know how I feel about the hardwired detector. I prefer it didn’t have it, but should I hate it?

You've seen what modern BMWs look like and you're complaining about the license plate bracket?

FC, that 981 looks great. If you have to run a front plate anyway, I wouldn't worry about the drilled bumper. We technically are required to have one here but knock on wood it's never been an issue for me in all these years of ownership. I have the front plate mounted to a screw-in mount that I got from someone on here, but I've never actually driven the car with it installed. I hated the look, figured worst case if I got pulled over I could show it to the cop and say I just haven't gotten around to installing it
