Updates: The white 3 wagon in Ohio has sold. Not surprising.

The 2019 X3 40i here is nicely optioned, has MSport and Adaptive Suspension, but not the M diff. All things considered, I’d rather have the M diff over the Adaptive Suspension, as the default for the X3 M40i is MSport suspension...
Its an SUV... I don't really think you'll be breaking tires loose that often. On that car I wouldn't spend the $$$ on a diff and it definitely wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if it didn't have one, just my opinion.

Yeah, I tend to agree. I don't think the diff is super important on that vehicle. You'd probably want it on the truck engined E39, though.

Yeah. The M diff with AWD and in a car that you're presumably never going to turn traction control off in isn't particularly valuable.

I think, though, that the obvious answer is the GMA T.50. Room for your son and a friend, and you'll be the cool Mom.

Well, that's true. And I have the Mdiff on my 2. Just harboring the notion that the 2 might be vulnerable to exiting the scene if and when I buy the practical car.

Well, this is obviously the best answer! So, is, maybe, the idea of a M3 sedan as the single car solution. (Can take a roof box, and has four doors for greater ease of dog hauling.)

If you think you're likely to end up at one car, the M3 seems like a no brainer.

Also, is there a Silvercar near you? You might also just consider renting a Q5 for trips.

There's a possibility that we'll be shuttling a puppy to my parents in the next 6 months, and we will 100% be using a nice rental for that.

Terrible.

You should find out if the ATL Budget still stocks a vast fleet of manual transmission cars.
