Nice - my best friend growing up had the successor to that car - a 2 door explorer sport in red. Fond memories of it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't have a picture, didn't know her then, but when my wife first came to the USA her first car here was a Bronco.
She lived in Colorado, manual front hubs for the 4wd, and "three on the tree"

And it wasn't just a quick drive. We had to spend 2 weeks each summer with our dad (divorced parents -- yay), and one year he just took us up to the ranch we had owned before the divorce and left my brother, sister and me with his parents (the new ranch owners hired them as the caretakers since they only spent the occasional long weekend there -- we at least spent full summers up there). The ranch is a ~6 hour drive to Phoenix (its near Alpine AZ, close to the NM border...). My dad made me drive the entire way. Although once we hit stoplights in Scottsdale, I pulled over and refused to drive any more. I just wasn't good enough with the clutch yet to feel comfortable with frequent stops. Plus I was tired after 6 hours behind the wheel... I then went up to my grandparents place in Flagstaff AZ, where my grandma had offered to teach me to drive in their '68 Bug that they kept up there. By the end of the week, she felt I had learned enough that she let me drive her '83 Supra (which was a stick...). Ah the fun of learning to drive...

I like reading the memories.
But they don’t address the fact that none of us are dumb enough to buy a re-badged Escape in this era.

Neither one is my cup of meat, but I might actually buy a Sport before an Escape. The Escape is nice enough but it very much is a Focus tall wagon.

I'd like to, but I'll be watching it alone. My wife just can't stand Walton Goggins, She feels that he has too many teeth in his mouth, and she just can't get past that. I can watch "The Unicorn" on TV, she just see's teeth
