Yeah, she was fine yesterday. She used to not mind driving in the snow, but ~5 years ago (I had just met her) she nearly got killed going to Montreal in her new Beetle. It involved her spinning out of control into the oncoming lane, an 18-wheeler hitting her, and her car getting ripped up and ending up in a ditch.

Needless to say, she is a bit more nervous about driving in the white stuff.

I can tell you that with traction control off, an E55 AMG provides abundant fun in the snow. :whistle:

yeah. i did not report on that.

the car is really hairy with the Big Brother Stabilitrak not reducing the engine power and correcting for yaw.

They have my abs kicking in moderately aggressive braking and I'm easy on the corners... However the dunlop m3's are no more squishy feeling than the average all-season tire. Perfectly acceptable, quiet ride on highway to ski slopes. Great on snow.

Also the ride on light 17's with taller sidewalls is WAY better than short sidewalls on the heavy, showy 18's that the zhp somehow needs

This is why I use all-seasons for daily drivers. I don't see the point of having extra grip that I don't use.
