My build without CF roof = $65,500. With CF roof = $68,100. Might have to settle for a sunroof car, especially if it is n/c. You only save 13 pounds with that carbon fiber roof… seems awful expensive for $2600 and likely very unnoticeable, especially on the street. I can tell you one thing the cool factor is not worth $2600 to me. Plus if I was getting individual paint I would forgo it anyways because you are paying for that beautiful paint so why not have it on the roof?

Edit: I would rather have a slicktop than the sunroof if given the option. I would even pay $500-800 for it.

Don't want 'em. I keep thinking and hearing the nut cracker suite whenever I see them.

My fantasy spec would come to exactly $67k ($68k including Destination).

TR
Cognac
Shadowline
Lighting Package
Heated Steering Wheel
CF Roof
Live Cockpit Pro

That would correspond to approx. $71 or 72k once they allow Individual. Not as bad as I had feared.

+1 re the buckets.

Individual is going back to its original price after the 50th anniversary. $5200. I have heard rumors that it might actually increase, inflation…

That is lame if they force the sunroof unlike ROW. If a standard BMW I see but M deserves a slicktop. Guess they want to force the slicktop people to pay for the carbon roof.

Exactly… given that this car will never see the light of day on a track I cannot foresee dropping $2600 for something I will never notice other than when I wash the top of it.

Yeah, the roof would be a serious waffle point for me as well if I was a player.

I would have to see with and sans CF to be sure.

You have to admit visually it is pretty stunning. Personally, I would worry about it cracking or pealing at some point down the road, so that would be a factor since this would likely be my last "forever" car if this indeed the end of the road for ICE with BMW.

If (when? ) I went Individual I would exclude it so I can use the funds for the uptick in paint charge.

Mike, see the pic below to just give you an idea. The CF is the same weave/pattern as the G80/2.
