Threads like this are why my Cayman's 19" Spyder wheels live in the garage and I drive around on 18" Kmart specials. (I mean tire rack specials)
The Kmart wheels also dropped me 5 lbs / corner (wheel and tire combined) but that's beside the point. I don't like having pothole anxiety. Just not worth it. |

I'm open to suggestions. 2 of them have rash. One is minor, the other is major (2 sets of 3-4 inch rash -- I was turning right at an intersection, and somebody decided to turn left right in front of me, so I hit the brakes and the rear passenger wheel hit the curb at speed). But its just cosmetic... I paid $1k for the current OEM 19's (turbine style) about 20 months ago, and they are on the car now -- and that is still the going price. Considering 2 of the older OEMs are damaged, how about $500?

Hm, that’s about half of what a single new wheel is going to cost. But I’d need new tires. Let me think about it.
Re: PSI—was about 38. |

That’s kind of low. PSI sticker on the car says to inflate the 19s to 42!
