But it doesn't check Nick's boxes... Still not a relaxed drive for clients as it needs revs. Not enough backseat space.

Then something like a 2012 335i is probably the best bet. ZZZzzzzz. Or was the last year for the sedan 2011?

Maybe I'll put my F10 535i 6MT up. ... Car does everything, but it is definitely a client-mobile, not sure I need that.

Grey interior is a major issue, and not much easier to fix than Navigation (IIRC, the dash has to be tossed).

I can get away with stuffing people into an M3 sedan. I can't keep getting away with sticking them in the back of an M3 coupe. And no, I don't particularly want an E90 335i.
