E46 Window Issue

Did a longish vacation trip in the M3, over 2 weeks.

When I started out, when I put the driver's side window down, it made some noises like it needed some lube. It would occasionally stop about 1 - 2 inches short of fully open. But hitting the button again, it would go down the rest of the way.

Near the end of the trip, the window would not go down all the way at all.

Simple fix like lube or new window regulator?

Thanks

Both of my windows make crackling noises, but still work normally.

Regulator. And in the future, if it does that, stop using it immediately. It's not uncommon for it to drop the window in the door.

So what parts do I need to order?

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_3684

01 - Electrical Window Lifter
- Sound Insulating Door
02 - Drive for Window Lifter

Who is the expert on doing this repair? Nick?

Now for the real question: Did it shatter?

I have done both the driver and passenger side window in the last year. Now a week ago the back passenger just stopped working all together. Love this old car.
