That is an odd duck... Never heard of them before....
Interesting style. Kind of an offshoot of the 1970's kit cars - but a bit nicer maybe....

Cool to see....

For sure ..vaguely reminiscent of several British cars from the 50s. Definitely has some MG vibes

Really like the look of the Volvo 850R. The manual version had 250hp/258lb feet of torque and did 0-60 in 6.7 seconds.

Nothing to sneeze at in 1996.

I really badly wanted to buy one of these in 1999, but the driving experience just wasn’t that great. It wasn’t slow, but it wasn’t particularly fun to drive.

My friend Terry's has a lot of Ford in it. 4 cylinder turbo, Mustang II front suspension and steering makes it a little easy for getting parts.

My parent’s had the vanilla 850 wagon. It was a lovely passenger car, but drove like a “refrigerator” as an Audi salesman once said. Easy clutch, though, and very roomy. My 850 sedan was much the same, but without the suburban panache of the wagon.

FC had the V70R, which was very similar.

my buddy had a manual v70R the same time I had my e39 540 wagon. There may have been a wagon race or two... and I may have always won. It was a nice car. His was black with the baseball glove brown interior.

Nice - was that the one with the “space ball” shifter?
