Dodge Demon to Compete against MX-5 and Solstice?

Found this while looking at the C6 Z06-R link in another thread. Interesting. I kind of like it. Some of the design is a bit cartoonish but I'm all for more small roadsters on the market. Especially if it were really to come with these specs:
  • 2600 lb. weight
  • 2.4L 4 cyl 174 hp, 165 ft-lb
  • 6 spd manual
  • RWD

Oh, and if it came to market, there's a possiblity an SRT4 version may soon follow . . . with up to 300 hp.

IF they meet their target weight AND they come out with a 300 hp SRT4 version you would get a roaster that's 200+ lb. lighter than the S2000 with 60 more hp and probably a lot more torque.

And I would hope it'd probably be cheaper.

Admittedly, that's a pretty big if.

Is it just me, or does that rear end looks kind of like a 997 rear mixed with a DB9 rear?

Edit: talking about the tail-lights mostly.

That thing is the bastard child of far too many other cars to count.

They had a perfectly good coupe concept version damnit!
