i can legally drive my sports car to work when i feel like it.

wonder if an atom owner could say that in NY or MA.

funny what a difference it makes, to actually be able to drive a car on the roads out and about whenever and not have that inner chronometer that times when the flashing lights will come on.

Thanks to reciprocity, if a private passenger car is legal in one state it can be driven in all states. The only issue is that you can't register it somewhere you don't actually have a residence.

Driving it in NYC is a bit of a challenge, though:





Particularly since the Atom barely comes up to the bumper of a Hummer (on the LIE):

those pictures giving your perspective relative to other cars' bumpers is frightening!

holy cow.

i'd have to have an atom made out of adamantium to trust other people at that ride height.
