New Car Tax Credit
One of the few appealing aspects of the new Congressional Funding Document, er excuse me, Stimulus Package, is a sales tax credit for vehicles (with certain limitations) bought this year.
Personally, it's still a little fuzzy to me regarding the vehicle cost limitation. As I understand it the credit cuts off at $49.5k, meaning any vehicle that costs above that limit will not accrue the purchaser any additional 'stimulus'. Anyway, anyone considering pushing up their perseverating on a new car purchase because of it this year, as opposed to next year? Admittedly, I am. |

Between the tax credit and the killer new car deals out there, I can't think of a better time to be buying. Assuming that the person buying is financially secure.
I'm happy with the vehicles I have. But you can bet that I'd be looking right now if I wasn't. |

On the jeep (haven't bought it yet), we're getting 6K off and 0% financing for 48 months.
