I'm not a fan of the porsche beige interior but it didn't stop me from buying and enjoying a porsche with one. I don't really think about the interior or the exterior when I'm driving but I'd still take a boring color that I don't love over a shouty color that I don't love (which will actively irritate me).

The most important thing to me about a porsche exterior is its shape and sculpting. White doesn't do them favors but neither do red or many other bright colors. With a silver, a gray or a nice metallic, I can focus on the shape. With a lava orange (saw one in my neighborhood yesterday), I only see the color (in this case salmon) not the sculpture that it is.

I think for various cars, bright colors are good. E.g. jeeps or lambos and many others. Just not when I want my eyes to wander over the 911 or cayman form.

Nah. Boring is boring and there's nothing wrong with self-gratification. It's just boring.

Like, this is bad. Really bad. And deserving of ridicule.

But it's not boring like white and beige.

This has got to be the most high class 986 interior I have ever seen. Coco full leather with the sport seats.

Talk about your perfect commuter or daily. I love this version of the Accord and it’s a manual!

One of my co-workers drives a carbon copy of that car to work every day. He has had it since new. I should ask him how many miles are on it, but my guess is well over 300k since he scoffed when I told him my daily driver was at 217k

I should send him this link and ask him if he wants to start over.

I also love this era of Hondas. Built to last (except for the whole rust thing), excellent fit and finish, reasonably fun to drive, quiet, efficient, excellent outward visibility and comfortable.

Mine too, except it was identical in color and spec to this one.

I had a friend in college with one of these, though it was beige over burgundy. Also a stick. It was extremely pleasant to drive--not fun, exactly, but very precise and light feeling, especially compared to something like a Taurus.

Even by the standards of the day it was not quick, and I suspect it would feel lethargic by today's standards. But there really isn't anything like it for sale today.
