Here's my article on waterproofing a BMW UGDO to work in my Atom. Between the seats in the center console: UGDO guts potted with electronic epoxy: |

Missed this one before. That's what I'm keeping the mini for. By the time I sell it, it will probably be basically new, with everything replaced. Maybe you'll want to buy that one. It's a great city beater.

Motherfucking cocksucking shitlicking douchenozzle scumbag piece of shit dealer is trying to take back my allocation.
They gave me a production number the day after I ordered. The car is already in fucking production, and associated with my bmwusa.com account. Friday, I notice online that the color and options are incorrect. Call them up, they say they'll look into it. After daily pestering, they try to tell me today that the "production schedule has shifted, and you'll get yours in September." Bull fucking shit. They took the allocation away. I went down there tonight to talk to the manager about it, and he finally admitted the district manager "VP" (ooh!) wants my car, in orange, so they can bolt on BMW Performance parts and sell it off the floor at a huge markup. Fuck you! A deal's a deal! I eventually got the manager to pretend to agree with my point of view on this, but he said he couldn't change the order without the district manager's go-ahead. So I have to take time away from work tomorrow morning to go down there and fucking pester his ass. I have an e-paper trail of the dealer giving me the production number, and screenshots of the production number linked to my account, but little else other than a record of them taking my deposit. I don't think I'd have much legal recourse should they decide to continue to screw me, but it's probably enough that if I wanted to drop a few thou making their lives miserable with subpoenas I could do it. Goddamn it. I wish I could just get my deposit back and go to another dealer, but the allocations are all fucking gone now. Assholes!
