Flat Tire

Bah so hard to steer... a tad bit scary... a whole lot pissed off.


Only 1600 miles on it, and now there is a 3 inch nail in it.


I hope I get away cheap. having it towed in a few...

big nail... punctured the tire and tube. I repaired it (I thought) by calling my wife to bring my portable compressor etc... Had it full, then rolled it to test it and all the air rushed out of the tube.

Anyways, here is the update: Dealer said that they are not allowed to patch tires there. He said, since it has a tube, I could get away with taking it somwhere to get patched, but it wasn't a safe idea.

I decided to order a new tube and tire, and save my old tire and have it patched. That way I have a spare if I ever need it.

Almost 300 bucks damage including the tow and labor. =(

I never had a flat on a bike, knock wood, and I'm darn glad of it. I was always scared of a blowout at freeway speed, especially a front.

Whoa. I didn't realize you had tubed tires. I despise tubed tires. I carry a plug kit and Co2 cannistors in my tool kit. Hopefully I'll never need it, but just in case.

Sorry about your luck, at least you weren't hurt.

The bike was slightly hard to back out of the garage. It was barely noticeble, so I wasn't quite sure why. As soon as I put it in first, everything seemed fine.

I was going about 40 mph when it wasn't leaning and responding properly. I went into the next curve, and it fought me and wobbled quite bad. (Not too bad, but bad).

By the time I pulled over, I knew what had happened. I was less than a mile from my house.

A full blowout could be devastating.
