This prius got a little more than a corner! http://nj1015.com/car-struck-by-nj-t...are_mobile_top
The woman who took the picture is the wife of a guy I went to school with. He was a big time band director for Jackson High School in NJ. They are the kind of high school band you see in the Rosebowl parade, Bush JR inauguration, Macy's Thanksgiving Day, Just to name a few of the places his kids (students) have played

Could not take a picture, but saw a Camry driving with the wipers off the windshield (like some cars parked in a snowstorm - a Northeast practice I never understood to begin with).

I'm glad I'm not the only one who never understood the wipers-up thing.

I could see if you got a lot of freezing rain during the winter, it might make the process of scraping the windshield a little easier. Ever so slightly. Still odd, though.

I guess if you are too cheap to replace your worn out wipers, you might not want them to freeze onto the glass, and then rip apart when pulling the arms up Sometimes I would put an old sheet over the windshield when I was parking at the bottom of our driveway in NJ. Just cause I didn't want to spend a lot of time clearing snow/ice after walking/sliding all the way down my long driveway. I figured the wipers helped hold down the sheet
