Probably not a bad idea.

So I called the local salvage yard (Condon's, up in Westminster). The guy who answered the phone was curious what I was doing with a 2.5L Fusion engine and a 2006+ Miata automatic transmission, so I gave him the 30 second spiel about the car and he knocked $50 off of the engine and $40 off of the transmission and waived the core charges. I thought that was pretty cool.

So... why the automatic transmission?
