Could also be a company car from Hertz’s Donlen subsidiary... US tax law-friendly company car leases are open-ended, and its possible someone really liked a car...

Probably the Mach 1 doesn’t change your analysis, but maybe it does.

It has been factoring since it was announced...but not sure how or how much. It probably pushes me more towards a C7 GS than anything else.

Figure the Mach 1 will probably sticker at $50k. Maybe $52k? The Handling Pack option details are vague in terms of whether it will contain things I would need, but I assume it will...and will probably run another $4-7k. They'll be limited production, but whether that means there will be high demand, low availability or that production will limited to how many they sell remains to be seen.

So, we wind up with a car that's potentially a Camaro killer for $55-$60k MSRP...9ish months from now? Vs a pre-depreciated C7GS for a little less money? Or a slightly used and partially pre-depreciated 1SS 1LE for a little more than half that.

Looking forward to actual driving impressions.

Also, from the R&T piece

The GT350 uses the same transmission in my turbo Camaro with a couple very minor tweaks. It has not exactly proven itself robust in that application (but I wouldn't call it a failure or mistake, either).

$60,000 is my guess.

And yes. At that price point, I would seriously look at pre-owned iron.

If the car has MRC, does that mean 1LE?

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...4097/overview/

The listing doesn’t say “1LE”
