While I owned the Daytona, I ordered a 91 Ford Exploder, 2 door Eddie Baur edition WITH a 5 speed stick.
Found a picture of it too, playing a little in the snow

My brother had that Bronco too, in Blue and tan ... were you a bouncer back in the day, you look like you could flip that truck on its side if you wanted to

We had one for many years (4 door Eddie Bauer 1992). Had it through 180,000 miles. Sold it when we got the Yukon (and then had that for 280,000 miles - lol). As to the 'Exploder' - Never had anything go wrong with it. NOT anything done other than routine maintenance - outside a fuel pressure regulator once.. if I recall correctly.

On mine, I had a rear brake shoe failure while parked in my garage. Trying to back out of the driveway caused the axle/hub to completely lock up. The exploder had backed out about two feet when it locked up, which meant the rear tire was right next to the frame of the garage door. This prevented me from removing the tire to see WTF was going on. A tow truck had to drag it the rest of the way out of the garage. Fun times

There also used to be a great rock club called the Fast Lane in Asbury Park. I never "worked" there, but hung out a lot and new the owner and manager very well. If there was ever an issue there and people needed to be moved outside, the crew there knew who I was, and I would step in to help get problems outside.
